Each day a set of mac and cheeses will square off in our tournament. Pick your fave to move on to the next round! We’ve been busy putting the finishing touches on eight incredible mac and cheese recipes, and although we think they’re all pretty amazing, we’re giving you the final word on which is the big winner!
From March 21st through the 26th, we’ll feature two mac and cheeses every day to do battle. Simply vote for your favorite, and the dish with the most love will move on to the next round. On March 25th, the four top-voted pastas will square off again. And on March 26th, whet your appetite for the championship between our top two contenders!
We’re not above a little bit of friendly betting, so we’ve seeded all of the choices just to keep things interesting. Here’s a little preview to help you plan your dining:
Tuesday, March 21st
Dlux Burger Mac (#1 seed), port wine braised onion, ground beef, and creamy blue cheese sauce
Classic Mac (#2 seed), baked with loads of cheddar cheese sauce and topped with herb bread crumbs
Wednesday, March 22nd:
Cajun Mac (#3 seed), diced andouille sausage and PEI mussels in orecchiette pasta, smothered in tomato pepper jack cheese sauce
Lobster Mac (#4 seed), tossed with medium shells and havarti wine sauce
Thursday, March 23rd:
Truffle Mac (#5 seed), crispy shallots, sautéed pancetta, and a truffle parmesan sauce served over elbow mac
Wild Mushroom Alfredo Mac (#6 seed), a mix of crimini, shiitake and hen of the woods mushrooms in a creamy Alfredo sauce, served over linguini
Friday, March 24th:
Roasted Veggie Mac (#7 seed), roasted tomatoes, peppers, and artichokes in a pesto Fontina cheese sauce
Ham and Swiss Mac (#8 seed), diced ham, red onions, and Swiss cheese sauce topped with herb bread crumbs
Saturday, March 25th: Final Four
Sunday, March 26th: The Championship!
